Tim and Donna Prior

My agriculture beginnings started in high school while picking stones for a local farmer. My interest in agriculture grew; taking me to Ridgetown Agriculture College where I exceled with this new passion. But that’s not all I found at college, I met my amazing farm girl Donna who I am honoured and privileged to call my wife for over 30 years. Together we have raised three wonderful children, Nathan, Taylor and Emily, we are so grateful that they all live and work in Huron County.

I started with Brussels Agri Services in September of 1995. Shortly thereafter I realized I loved working for them and I saw a potential for personal satisfaction, profitability and growth. I knew this is what I wanted to do for a living. Two years later my wife Donna and I purchased the business. It is truly amazing to be doing what you have a passion for. I love and enjoy my work, I find satisfaction in helping our agriculturally based customers every day.

Brussels Agri Services Ltd. is a longtime Masterfeeds dealer of livestock feed and nutrition. We have an array of agricultural products; we carry livestock supplies, feeders, animal handling equipment and animal management equipment.

We are a leader in fence and grazing solutions for our livestock clients. Installing fence systems and recommending best management practices is our specialty. We work alongside our long time business partners Gallagher Animal Management. This relationship has been immensely beneficial to our success in the pasture and grazing industry.

Our humble beginning started with 3 employees and now has grown to 12-14 incredible staff focusing on the customer.

In 2003 we decided to expand our offering and client base; the idea came from a Masterfeeds retailer Cowtown in Regina. We began the process of building our additional retail outlet the Cowboy Loft. This addition was an instant hit and has brought us a whole new range of clients. This business provides a great selection of western wear. We carry shirts, hats, jeans, boots, giftware and more. We also carry a wide range of equine products including saddles, reins, ropes, supplements and much more.

The Cowboy Loft is a must see for all!

We have carried show supplies for the past 10 years, and in 2015 we expanded that section, we built a further addition to better serve our clients. We have been partners for a long time with Weaver Leather, this addition allowed us to carry more of their product line that focuses on the cattle and sheep industry. The show supplies are a wonderful niche market that fits well with our business goals! The show supplies industry allows us to serve the future farmers of Huron County and surrounding areas, as many of the products are used for 4H shows. We are proud to support many of the local 4H shows in our area.

We expanded again in 2018 in our fencing department by adding a second installation crew, to be able to serve our clients quickly with the best equipment and installers.

Being a part of the local community is always something we pride ourselves in, we hold an annual Grazing Meeting and an annual Pasture Walk and Talk that is free for clients and members of our community. We support many local agricultural events and we are happy to be a community minded business. We strive to constantly add value to our agricultural community and enjoy meeting the needs of our clients.
