These units require six size ‘C’ alkaline batteries to operate. Hot-Shot has a High Amperage Alkaline
Livestock Prod Cell that is designed to work best in electric prods. Because electric prods are considered
a ‘high drain device’, a higher amperage gives the user the best performance and battery life. The
Hot-Shot Battery will last longer and perform better than most ‘off-the-shelf’ alkaline batteries. They are
available at most Hot-Shot Dealers (usually on the shelf next to the prods).
Rechargeable Battery System
Hot-Shot has designed a Rechargeable Battery Pack (Part # RBP) to fit into the Green HS2000 and the Blue
LMPLUS (we don’t recommend the RBP be used with the Red Sabre-Six as the mechanical points in the Sabre-Six can burn out). The RBP fits in place of the six ‘C’ alkaline batteries and can be charged using a
110 Volt (wall outlet) or 12 Volt (auto) charger. A Hot-Shot charger must be used with the RBP or the
warranty on the RBP is void. The RBP:
